PURPOSE: An automatic filter-reset mechanism is provided to reduce the probability of the signal generation which cause a traffic. CONSTITUTION: A signal(223) is filtered based on the set of adaptively updated tap coefficients(231) which is adaptively updated. A filter(224) generates the filtered signal(225). A coefficient updater(230) generates the set of tap coefficients which is updated based on the set of initial tap coefficients(233). A reset controller(240) monitors a downstream signal(227) which is extracted from the filtered signal.
