PURPOSE: An optical network terminal and a method for detecting a rogue using the same are provided to rapidly measure about a rogue. CONSTITUTION: An ONT(Optical Network Terminal)(120) comprises an optical transmitting unit(310), an error detection unit(330), and a control unit(340). The optical transmitting unit transmits an optical signal to an OLT(Optical Line Terminal). The error detection unit detects an error of the optical transmitting unit. If the error detection unit detects an error of the optical transmitting unit, the control unit transmits the error message to the OLT through the optical transmitting unit.
