PROCESS FOR PREPARING TETRACYCLODODECENE DERIVATIVES

PURPOSE: A process for preparing tetracyclododecene derivatives is provided to prepare TCD(tricyclopentadiene) derivatives at high efficiency by heating norbornene derivatives alone or in the presence of a solvent while suppressing the formation of TCPD(tricyclopentadiene). CONSTITUTION: A process for preparing tetracyclododecene derivatives uses allogeneic disproportionation of norbornene compounds to which an alkyl group is substituted. The disproportionation is performed at 200-270 °C for 10 minutes - 3 hours. The reaction is preformed in the presence of at least one kind of aprotic solvent. The aprotic solvent includes nitriles, ketones, amides, aromatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, and aliphatic halogenated hydrocarbons.
