BEEFSTEAK PLANT EXTRACT AND BEVERAGE USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: A perilla frutescens extract containing polyphenol, and a beverage using thereof are provided to produce a functional drink with massive amount of bioactive substances. CONSTITUTION: A beverage using a perilla frutescens extract is produced by the following steps: hot water extracting cut perilla frutescens for 15~30minutes at 70~100deg C; filtering the obtained extract; adding 0.05~0.2wt% of citric acid to 100wt% of extract; inserting 36~56wt% of sugar to 100wt% of extract; and condensing the mixture using a vacuum concentrator.
