PURPOSE: A handrail for a sidewalk with a simple assembly structure and an assembling method thereof are provided to conveniently assemble horizontal members to posts without exposure of joints by fastening fixing members with nuts within the posts. CONSTITUTION: A handrail for a sidewalk with a simple assembly structure comprises a plurality of posts(210), a plurality of horizontal members(220), and a plurality of fastening units. The posts are installed at regular intervals on a boundary line between a road and a sidewalk. The horizontal members connect the posts together. The fastening units couple and fix the horizontal members to the posts at the joints thereof.
