PURPOSE: A filtering apparatus for water treatment is provided to improve the efficiency of a sludge eliminating process by successively eliminating large sludge and small sludge. CONSTITUTION: A closure(320) is separated into two parts based on a center partition(329). The upper side and the lower side of the closure are open. A sludge treating part(300) composed of a pair of belt screens are installed at the center of the two parts in the closure. The belt screens filter waste water from the upper side of the closure. Both ends of a worm gear are fixed to the vertical plate(324) of the closure. A closure transferring part moves the belt screens. A recess is installed at the lower side of the belt screen and discharges collected sludge to the outside by a sludge discharging part.
