PURPOSE: A method of assigning a motion vector of an occlusion region is provided to improve the accuracy of motion estimation and reduce errors by obtaining a motion vector of a block within a cover region or an uncover region. CONSTITUTION: The motion estimation between a first frame and a second frame is performed(S100). Based on a motion vector depending on the motion estimation, a cover region or an uncover region are discriminated(S120). A motion vector candidate for the blocks within the cover or uncover region is selected(S130). By using the motion vector candidate, the motion vector for the block within the cover or uncover region is assigned(S150). |
