PURPOSE: A device for measuring the flow of molten steel in a continuous casting mold is provided to enable accurate measurement of flow rate on the surface of molten steel by measuring displacement of distance according to the flow of molten steel. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring the flow of molten steel in a continuous casting mold comprises a measuring unit and a control unit. The measuring unit is placed on the upper portion of a continuous casting mold(10). The measuring unit measures displacement value of the flow on the surface of the molten steel in the mold. The measuring unit outputs measurement signals to the outside. The control unit collects measurement signals as data information. The control unit changes the collected data information into the flow rate on the surface of the molten steel. The control unit computes the flow rate on the surface of the molten steel.
