The station (1) has refrigerant tanks (3) stacked to form a vertical column (21) supported on a common weighing plane (13) of an electronic balance (10). An electronic control unit (9) stores, in a memory, weight of refrigerant contained in each tank, and identifies the tank used in refilling/recovery operation. The unit calculates difference between overall weight of the column measured at a pre-established calculation instant and overall weight at a preceding instant. The unit updates, in the memory, the weight of refrigerant contained in the identified tank based on the weight difference.
