PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable elevator safety control device that detects the contact weld of an elevator control circuit in advance. SOLUTION: The elevator safety control device includes a door-opened travel preventing device 4 for monitoring door-opened travel independently from the operation control of an elevator, the door-opened travel preventing device having a monitor 4b for determining the abnormal state of the elevator in accordance with a state monitoring input signal from the elevator input from the elevator control circuit via an input part 4a, a speed computing part 4d for computing the speed and direction of a passenger car in accordance with the input signal, and an output part 4c for determining whether the elevator control circuit should be shut off or not in accordance with the determination result of the monitor part 4b, and a plurality of circuit shut-off means 5 for shutting off the elevator control circuit in accordance with the command of the output part 4c. When the monitor 4b detects the abnormality of the elevator including the door-opened travel or the speed computing part 4d detects the stop of the passenger car, the output part 4c outputs a shut-off command to one of the plurality of circuit shut-off means 5, and outputs the shut-off command to another circuit shut-off means 5 after the lapse of a certain time and to the circuit shut-off means 5 different from the first shut-off during the next shut-off.
