SIMULATION DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD FOR THE SAME, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation device for executing a simulation in a real time in an image forming apparatus by simulating a paper conveyance operation at a high speed and to provide a control method for the simulation device.

SOLUTION: The simulation device executes the simulation of image formation by using the same CPU/ASIC as the CPU/ASIC used in the image forming apparatus being a simulation target. The simulation device calculates information on the position of paper under conveyance by using the number of pulses based on a motor for driving a roller.
