<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an airbag device in which the connecting strength of first and second bags are ensured for a load generated by the first and second bags when an occupant is restrained. <P>SOLUTION: A front passenger seat airbag device 10 includes the main bag 26 for restraining an upper body U of an occupant P by inflation and deployment caused by receiving gas supply, a sub-bag 28 for restraining the knee K of the occupant P by inflation and deployment caused by receiving the gas supply, and a stress relaxation cloth 44 for connecting the main bag 26 to the sub-bag 28 via a connecting part J for them on the side close to the occupant.
