PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for improving the print quality of an ink printer in which a slight change in ink viscosity is also taken into consideration. SOLUTION: The device has a print head 10 including at least one nozzle 11, an ink chamber 14, and an actuator 12. At least one ink droplet 17 having a prescribed size is ejected from the nozzle by the actuator when the actuator is operated. The device also has an actuator control device 23 that controls the ejection of ink droplets and sizes of the ink droplets, and a measuring device 24 that directly or indirectly calculates a time length elapsing after the last ink-droplet ejection so that the size of the ink droplet to be subsequently ejected is adjusted according to the calculated time length.
