PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicating instrument enabling a superior assembly work, even when a middle part of a pointer having a bent shape is covered with a shading cover. SOLUTION: This indicating instrument includes; a driving device 2 having a projecting pointer shaft 21; a display board 4 having an index part 41; a pointer 6 having a connection part 61, a rotating base part 62, an indication part 64 and a middle part 65; and a display member 5 arranged so as to cover at least the upside of the rotating base part 62 of the pointer 6, and to expose the indication part 64 and the index part 41, wherein at least the middle part 65 of the pointer 6 is covered with the shading cover 7 formed by combining first and second cover parts 71, 72 which are formed mutually separately.
