PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine enabling simplification of the oil supply path and improvement in the lubricity of the cam. SOLUTION: An oil supply path 76 is formed in a cam journal 71 of a cam cap 70, and the opening part 77 on the side surface of the cam journal 71 of the oil supply path 76 is disposed outward of the outer diameter range R1 of a cam base 61a of a cam 61 and inward of the outer diameter range R2 of a cam vertex part 61b of the cam 61.
