The handheld field maintenance tool (102) includes a keypad (122), a display (120), a short-range wireless transceiver (162) and a processor (152). The processor (152) is coupled to the keypad (122), the display (120) and the short-range wireless transceiver (162). The processor (152) is also coupled to memory (154) having a plurality of instructions stored therein, which instructions, when executed by the processor (152), cause the processor (152) to perform at least one of remote wireless display; remote wireless keypress injection; and wireless printing.
