Disclosed is a crystalline form of 7-chloro-N,N,5-trimethyl-4-oxo-3-phenyl-3,5-dihydro-4H-pyridazino[4,5-b]indole-1-acetamide of formula (A) which is designated Form II, that exhibits an X-ray diffraction pattern comprising a peak at about 5.71 degrees 2-theta. Also disclosed is the use of said crystalline form in the treatment or prevention of neurodegenerative diseases, neuropathy, cancer or tumors, cutaneous stress, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiac disease or a cardiac disorder.
