<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component train with the weight of a taping material reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic component train 1 includes: the taping material 3, in which a plurality of carriers 5 and a plurality of transport ports 4 are arranged in a longitudinal direction; a plurality of electronic components 2 stored in the carriers 5; and thinned parts 6, where a portion of the taping material 3 is removed at positions separated from the carriers 5 and the transport ports 4 of the taping material 3. The thinned parts 6 reduce the weight of the electronic component train 1, and consequently, the transportation cost, management cost and cost involved in storage and inventory of the taping material 3 are suppressed.
