摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of reducing unevenness of illuminance of light on a surface to be illuminated while at the same time securing a light distribution controllability by using an optical element. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device 10 includes: a light source 9 provided with a plurality of LED chips (light emitting elements) 1; and the optical element 2 wherein at least part of the light source 9 is disposed and an inner surface 2c of a reflection surface to reflect the light from the light source unit 9 outside is a rotating surface. The light source 9 disposed inside the optical element 2 includes: a polygonal columnar body 3 arranged such that a longitudinal direction of the body may be along the rotating axis A of the rotating surface; and an optical conversion member 4 that surrounds the columnar body 3 and absorbs at least part of the light emitted from the LED chips 1 arranged on the side face 3a of the columnar body 3 and emits wavelength-converted light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
