<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector for a flat conductor to regulate movement of the flat conductor in both upward and backward directions and to superbly prevent falling-off of the flat conductor. <P>SOLUTION: A connector 1 has a locking part 43B installed at a locking metal fitting 40 held by a housing 10 to protrude upward at a position corresponding to both end parts in the width direction of the front end part F1 of the flat conductor F, and a regulating fitting 50 held by the housing 10 at a more outward position than that of the locking part 43B in the width direction. The locking part 43B advances from downward into a notch recess part F4 formed in both side edges in a transition part from the front end part F1 to the body part F2 of the flat conductor F and is positioned to be locked to the front edge of the notch recess part F4 in order to inhibit backward falling-off of the flat conductor F. The regulating fitting 50 has a regulating arm part 53 which is backward extended above the flat conductor F, is locked to the upper face of the front end region of both end parts in the width direction of the body part F2 of the flat conductor F, and regulates upward movement of the body F2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
