<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink filling method which prevents air from remaining in an ink head using only an ink path and an operation member used for circulating ink during normal printing and an inkjet printer. <P>SOLUTION: An ink circulation section 31 is constituted of a line head 50 for discharging ink, an upper tank 38 arranged above the line head 50 in a vertical direction and for storing ink fed to the line head 50, a second tank 39 arranged below the line head 50 in the vertical direction and for recovering ink not discharged by the line head 50, a pump 41 for feeding ink in the second tank 39 to the first tank 38. The ink initial stage of filling to the line head 50 is carried out by a step for driving the pump 41 while the first tank 38 is hermetically closed and the second tank 39 opened to the atmosphere and a step for stopping the drive of the pump 41 while the first tank 38 is opened and the second tank 39 is hermetically closed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
