PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer support device easily determining whether a cared person is surely held on a body holding implement or not. SOLUTION: The transfer support device 10 includes: a movable truck 1; an arm 2 which is attached freely tiltably to the truck 1 with one end; the first body holding implement 3 which is provided at the other end of the arm 2 and holds the cared person; detectors 41, 42 provided at the first body holding implement 3 and for detecting the contact of the care person; driving parts 61-65 of the arm 2; and a control part 17 which controls the driving parts 61-65. The control part 17 controls the driving parts 61-65 to be in a movable state on the basis of a signal detecting the contact of the cared person from the detectors 41, 42.
