<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure body temperature in a short time even where a temperature measuring member is covered with a sponge in order to increase a fitting feel of an electronic clinical thermometer for an armpit. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic clinical thermometer 100 is made by covering the temperature measuring member 11 with a cap 20 made of the sponge 21 having flexibility, the measuring member 11 incorporating a temperature sensor 13. In this clinical thermometer 100, time t<SB>32</SB>is detected that elapses while a temperature measured by the temperature sensor 13 reaches an intermediate temperature T(t) from an initial temperature T(0). The detected time t<SB>32</SB>elapsed, the initial temperature T(0), and the intermediate temperature T(t), are applied to a forecasting calculation expression obtained by modeling temperature change characteristics to forecast/calculate a saturated temperature which is a body temperature of a person whose body temperature is measured. The body temperature of the person can be measured in a short time by forecasting/calculating the saturated temperature in an early stage before a temperature measured by the temperature sensor 13 actually comes to saturation gradually even where heat conductivity is lowered by covering the temperature measuring member 11 with the sponge 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
