PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load capacity measuring apparatus easily installable to an existing tank truck and capable of reducing an installation cost of a measuring system, and the tank truck. SOLUTION: The load capacity measuring apparatus includes a weight measuring instrument 6 for measuring a weight of the tank truck 1 by placing wheels 2 thereon; an elevating device 7 secured to an undercarriage 3 and capable of lowering the weight measuring instrument 6 onto the ground by elevating the weight measuring instrument 6 before or behind the wheels 2; and a guide device 8 guiding the weight measuring instrument 6 in a back-and-forth direction of the tank truck 1 against the elevating device 7, and guiding the wheels 2 onto the weight measuring instrument 6, if the tank truck 1 moves with the weight measuring instrument 6 placed on the ground.
