PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device which recognizes the state of an elevator hall on each floor while suppressing its cost increase. SOLUTION: The elevator control device includes a passenger car 6 movable through an elevator shaft 7 between the elevator halls 8 on the floors. It further includes hall security windows 26 provided on the elevator halls 8 on the floors for viewing the elevator halls 8 from the side of the elevator shaft 7, a shaft camera 32 provided movable in the elevator shaft 7 for picking up the images of the elevator halls 8 from the hall security windows 26, a camera control unit 42 for controlling the shaft camera 32, and a passenger car image display 14 and a hall image display 24 for displaying images picked up by the shaft camera 32. When the passenger car 6 is moved to a target floor, the camera control unit 42 moves the shaft camera 32 to a position where the image of the elevator hall 8 on the destination floor can be picked up before the passenger car 6 arrives at the target floor, so that the image of the elevator hall 8 on the destination floor is picked up and displayed on the passenger car image display 14 and on the hall image display 24.
