Disclosed are compounds of formula (I), wherein R3 is C1-6alkyl, C1-6haloalkyl, C2-3alkenyl, C1-3alkoxyC1-3alkyl, C1-3haloalkoxyC1-3alkyl or (CH2)1-2OH and the remaining substituents are as defined in the specification, and salts and solvates thereof. The compounds are sodium channel modulators useful in treating or preventing depression or a mood disorder such as a bipolar disorder, a substance related disorder, compulsive eating disorder or binge eating disorder, epilepsy, inflammatory pain or neuropathic pain.
