PURPOSE: A caption display method and a display device adopting the same are provided to enable a user to view caption data without being disturbed by a video signal. CONSTITUTION: At least one caption data is selected from a user(S501). A first display control unit outputs the selected caption data to a second display control unit(S502). Under a control of a second display control unit, the caption data is outputted to a second display unit(S503). The caption data is outputted in a second display unit.
