<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide devices and electromagnetic radiation delivery procedures for facilitating to determine the area or volume of surrounding tissue that is ablated when it is difficult to assess the extent to which microwave energy radiates into the surrounding tissue, as for an apparatus and method for providing energy to tissue. <P>SOLUTION: The microwave ablation system includes an energy source adapted to generate microwave energy and a power splitting device 230 having an input part adapted to connect to the energy source and a plurality of output parts. The plurality of output parts are configured to be coupled to a corresponding plurality of energy delivery devices 250A, 250B, and 250C.
