<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device wherein deterioration of emission quality is hard to stand out, when a plurality of luminous flux control members having malfunction at a specific spot are used, and a display device including the same. <P>SOLUTION: The surface light source device includes a plurality of light emitting elements mounted to a substrate 6, a luminous flux control member 7 mounted to the substrate 6 to make a pair with the light emitting element to emit light from the light emitting element by spreading it from a light controlling and emitting surface, and a light diffusing member through which light emitted from the light controlling and emitting surface of the luminous flux control member 7 diffuses and permeates. The luminous flux control member 7 is molded by injecting a molten resin into a cavity from a gate positioned at the side when the light controlling and emitting surface is used as the front. A plurality of the luminous flux control members 7 are mounted so that the protruding direction of a protrusion 13 becomes irregular with respect to one direction of the substrate 6 in a plan view of the substrate 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
