<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having less influence by thermal deformation of a housing on positional relation between an optical member supported by the housing, and a light source part and an incident part even when the housing is thermally deformed by conduction of heat from the light source part. <P>SOLUTION: The housing 30 of the image forming apparatus 1 is expanded by heat generated by a laser light source 21 arranged proximately to the housing 30. A thick part 40 of the housing 30 gets thinner and thinner in thickness as it separates from the laser light source 21. Even when the housing 30 is expanded, expansion of the thick part 40 near a dichroic mirror 42 supported by the housing 30 is suppressed, and the position of the dichroic mirror 42 is not changed.
