<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a communication gateway device which can stabilize a network system when a communication environment including a processing load and a network load of the communication gateway device changes as well. <P>SOLUTION: The communication gateway device has a CAN network 208 configuring a vehicle network system, a packet transfer part 202A which performs a packet transfer process, and a signal transfer part 202B which performs a signal transfer process concerning an intermediate packet according to a transfer method of the intermediate packet decided by a packet processing method deciding part 203 wherein interconversion takes place between a packet which is sent and received via a communication interface provided corresponding to a FlexRay network 209, and the intermediate packet which can be processed in its own device.
