PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll changing device with which different rolls in the shape of a chock are pulled out and changed with one device without changing arms (pawls). SOLUTION: A roll shaft is mounted to the chock of a roll stand through the chock and the chock and the roll shaft are changed integrally along the axial direction of the roll shaft. Changing rails 3 which are parallel in the direction of the roll shaft to the roll shaft are laid down on this side of the roll stand S, a changing truck 10 is installed on the changing rails and a T-shaped tool viewed from above is attached just above a portion where the roll shaft of the chock T is penetrated and projected. In the changing truck, two arms 11 are provided so that the roll shaft end is held with a first pawl 11b which is provided on its top through an arm attaching part 12 on the top plate provided on the upside of a truck body and a second pawl 11c is provided on the upside of the first pawl.
