PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirring device very easy in discharge work, allowing work in a relaxed posture, and contributing to improvement in work efficiency and labor reduction. SOLUTION: A drum unit 5 having a stirring tank 23 is set vertically movably by a moving mechanism provided on a support 3. After a stirring object material is charged in the stirring tank 23 at a lower given position (charge position), the drum unit 5 is elevated by a given distance and the stirring work is performed in a state where the stirring tank 23 is tilted to direct an opening 21 thereof upward from the level. After stirring, the drum unit 5 is further elevated.
