PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rational and economical fall prevention device capable of reliably preventing an opening/closing body such as a door from falling or abruptly dropping. SOLUTION: This fall prevention device includes a support part having a first bearing and a second bearing which face each other at a distance, an opening/closing body which has a locking part corresponding to the support part and moves vertically to the support part, and a locking bar member which extends through the locking part of the opening/closing body positioned between the first bearing and the second bearing and engaged with the first bearing and the second bearing when the opening/closing body is held at a predetermined position in the vertical direction.
