PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the high transfer performance of either a host function or a peripheral function when the host function and the peripheral function are simultaneously performed. SOLUTION: A data transfer control device includes a first communication part that processes data transfer with a device, and a second communication part that processes data transfer with a host device. One of the first and second communication parts serves as a preferential communication part whose data transfer should have a high priority, and another of the first and second communication parts serves as a non-preferential communication part. When the data transfer is being performed in the preferential communication part, the preferential communication part notifies the non-preferential communication part that the data transfer is being performed, and when the non-preferential communication part is being notified that the data transfer is being performed from the preferential communication part, the non-preferential communication part puts the data transfer in the non-preferential communication part on hold.
