<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction liquid that restrains the occurrence of a surface damp feeling and curling of a recording medium, has excellent solid uniformity, and provides an excellent image quality restrained from the occurrence of feathering. <P>SOLUTION: The reaction liquid, which is applied to a recording medium by a roller coating system prior to recording with an ink containing a color material, has a function for destabilizing a dissolved or dispersed state of the coloring material in the ink by coming into contact with the ink, and contains at least a polyvalent metal halide, an acetylene glycol compound and a polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 200-1,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
