<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and the like for generating an image showing a state in which an object consisting of a plurality of polygons to be displayed in a virtual space is divided. <P>SOLUTION: In the image processing apparatus 801, a storage unit 802 stores information for bone, control point and group in a basic attitude of the object, a bone movement unit 803 determines a moving destination of each bone, and a control point moving unit 804 determines a moving destination of each control point according to the movement of the bone. An arrangement unit 805 determines positions of apexes based on a reference position of each group the control point belongs to or the like and arranges a polygon connecting the apexes in the virtual space. A selection unit 806 selects a polygon crossing a division surface, and a division unit 807 rewrites the information for control point and group in the storage unit 802 in a necessary minimum range based on an internal division ratio of internally dividing each side of the selected polygon by the division surface.
