PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic detection sensor which is able to attain size reduction and cost reduction, without causing deterioration the sensitivity. SOLUTION: The magnetic detection sensor includes a magnetic detection element 11, an AC current output part 12 outputting an AC current Ih, and a detection part 13 for detecting a voltage Vd output from the detection element 11 with the AC current Ih supplied to the detection element 11. The detection element 11 is equipped with a strip-shaped or linear electrode 21 for excitation formed of a conductive material to generate a magnetic field He, by being supplied with an AC current Ih, and two strip-shaped or linear detection electrodes 22a and 22b formed of an amorphous material and respectively arranged in the vicinity of the electrode 21 for excitation, while the respective ends 31 are electrically connected to each other. By the detection part 13; and voltages Vd between respective ends 32 of the respective detection electrodes 22a and 22b are detected with the AC current Ih supplied to the electrode 21 for excitation.
