PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack door follow-up mechanism capable of starting maintenance work rapidly without time-consuming preliminary work when performing maintenance work from the back side of an electronic component housed in a rack. SOLUTION: The mechanism follows up operation for opening a back door 1 of a rack 2 while a cable arm 4 is connected with the back door 1 of the rack only when the back door 1 of the rack is opened for maintenance work at the back side of the rack. Thus, the cable arm 4 obstructing the maintenance work is automatically removed from the back side of the electronic component 3 so that a maintenance space can be automatically formed.
