The device (1) has a filter element (10) comprising an end plate (15) at a front side of the element. A middle pipe (13) with a front-sided seal bottom (18) is arranged at the element. The bottom is connected with the end plate. The plate and/or the bottom is covered by a fastening system (20) with a housing cover (21) of a filter housing (17). The system comprises a fastening element that is formed with a bottom plate, and another fastening element. The latter fastening element is formed with a housing cover (21), and the bottom plate consists of the plate and the bottom.
