Disclosed is a topical antifungal composition comprising between 0.75 % w/w and 20 % w/w of terbinafine or a pharmaceutically active salt form thereof, between 0.05 % w/w and 30% w/w of hydroxypropylcellulose, between 1% w/w and 10% w/w of an octylacrylamide acrylate copolymer, and a solvent selected from the group consisting of ethanol, isopropanol, acetone and ethyl acetate. Also disclosed is the use of a topical antifungal composition as defined above for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of a fungal skin infection, wherein the medicament is formulated to provide treatment with only one application.
