Disclosed is a method of introducing a heat resistant accelerator (HRA) slurry into a post-mixer aqueous dispersion of calcined gypsum in a discharge apparatus. The method includes: discharging the aqueous dispersion from a second mixing device into a discharge apparatus; and introducing the HRA slurry and a liquid medium from a first mixing device into the discharge apparatus. The HRA slurry comprises a dry-milled HRA with a coating selected from the group consisting of sugar, starch, boric acid, a long chain fatty acid, and a salt of a long chain fatty acid.The HRA slurry does not contain an organic phosphonate or phosphate.
