PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling power of a Bluetooth headset are provided to reduce sensing errors for state information of a Bluetooth headset using sensors. CONSTITUTION: A Bluetooth headset can be set in a sensor mode(301). The Bluetooth headset checks activation of a sensor unit(303). A controller turns the Bluetooth headset on when the sensor unit is activated(305). The controller checks deactivation of the sensor unit(307). The controller performs a corresponding function when the sensor unit is deactivated(308). The controller turns the Bluetooth headset on when the sensor unit is deactivated(309). The Bluetooth headset checks termination of the sensor mode(311).
