<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detecting device capable of reducing the trouble of connecting wires in a detecting section near the surface and simplifying a structure in an area around the wires. <P>SOLUTION: A position detecting device 100 for detecting a position as indicated by a human body includes: a sensor substrate 110 having flexibility and including a detecting region 112 having a plurality of detecting electrodes formed therein and a wiring region 114, in which wires extending from the detecting electrodes are provided; and a housing 140 having a storage section 144 in which the sensor substrate 110 is stored.
