PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a prediction accuracy with respect to the regarding residual amount of toner stored in an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The management system obtains information on the conveying time for toner in a toner conveying mechanism for the image forming apparatus, information on the characteristic amount regarding variation in consumed amount of toner in a developing machine and information on the characteristic amount expressing an environment inside the image forming apparatus. Then, a prediction value concerning the residual amount of toner in a toner container is calculated in a prediction part 22 by obtained information regarding the conveying time for the toner. Furthermore, a corresponding relationship between this prediction value and an actual measured value concerning the residual amount of toner in the toner container are obtained from a storing part 23 at a correction part 24 and the prediction value is corrected using the corrected corresponding relationship by correcting the obtained corresponding relationship by the characteristic amount for the variation in the toner consumption amount and the characteristic amount for expressing the environment.
