PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type tending machine which can perform maintenance works without detaching a sheet member from the rear end portion of a rotary tilling apparatus. SOLUTION: The walking type tending machine includes a rotary tilling apparatus 40, a rubber flap 60 whose upper end is fixed to the rear end portion of a tilling cover 45, in whose lower right and left end portions left engaging hole 61L and right engaging hole are formed, respectively, and which downward hangs from the rear end portion of the tilling cover 45, a knob screw 72L for detachably fixing the left upper end portion of the rubber flap 60 to the rear left end portion of the tilling cover 45, and a knob screw for detachably fixing the right upper end portion of the rubber flap 60 to the rear right end portion of the tilling cover 45, wherein the left engaging hole 61L of the rubber flap 60 is engaged with the knob screw 72L, and the right engaging hole of the rubber flap 60 is engaged with the right knob screw.
