PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin tissue measuring probe which is capable of detecting the relative position of the distal end part of an optical fiber bundle and a skin surface by a simple structure, is excellent in operability and is excellent in usability. SOLUTION: The skin tissue measuring probe measures optical signals of skin tissue by fixing a probe 33 which is the distal end part of the optical fiber bundle 32 to the skin surface 31 and irradiating the skin with near infrared light from the probe 33. A screw portion 43 is turned to a thread cutting position to match an index 47 marked on the screw portion 43 with a first reference line 48 and position the probe 33 flush with the skin surface 31, and then the screw portion is turned in the opposite direction to match the index with a second reference line 49, and arrange the probe 33 at a measuring position in a predetermined distance away from the skin surface.
