PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear mechanism for a wrist watch capable of being relatively easily manufactured and minimizing the backlash of engagement despite a small gear, a calendar mechanism equipped with the gear mechanism, and an analog timepiece equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The gear mechanism 8 for the wrist watch of the calendar mechanism 1 of the analog timepiece 2 has mutually-engaged first and second fan-shaped gears 95 and 7. The second gear 7 includes a second gear body 60 located at one surface side of a tooth plate 16 and has a small-diameter circular section; a large-diameter plate-like section secured to the second gear body at a side opposite to a tooth plate facing side and having a larger diameter than the body; and an arc-like elastic means 80 disposed between the tool plate and the large-diameter plate-like section, and between the small-diameter circular section of the second gear body and a second gear tooth engaged with the small-diameter circular section of the second gear body on an inner circumferential surface of an arc, and pushing an inner circumferential surface of a circular arc of the second gear tooth outwardly in a radial direction on an outer circumferential surface of the arc to make teeth of the second gear tooth engaged with teeth of the first gear.
