摘要 |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission device using tapered friction wheels capable of suppressing a local contact pressure due to a shift of the contact point of a ring outer contact surface along with a deformation of any friction wheel. SOLUTION: The inner contact surface 70 of a ring 25 has a straight portion 70a while the outer contact surface 71 consists of a curved portion 71a in the shape of a single arc of circle. The contact point P of the curved portion is arranged offset toward the major diametric part J of the friction wheel 23 which the curved portion contacts. Even if the contact point shifts owing to deformation of the input-side friction wheel 22 (P→P<SB>1</SB>), the shift side becomes longer, thereby suppressing generation of a local contact pressure at the corner part.
