<p>Disclosed is a detergent composition which contains (a) a nonionic surfactant that is represented by the general formula (1) below, (b) one or more anionic surfactants that are selected from among (b1) specific alkylbenzenesulfonic acid salts, (b2) specific polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether sulfuric acid ester salts and (b3) specific alkyl or alkenyl ether sulfuric acid ester salts, and (c) a fatty acid having 8-18 carbon atoms or a salt thereof at a mass ratio (a)/[(b) + (c)] of from 5/95 to 70/30.
